Patients' satisfaction with dental esthetics

The article reports on a survey on a population of 407 21-year-olds about the factors influencing their satisfaction with dental esthetics and results of esthetic treatment in the U.S. Results revealed that 152 of respondents reported dissatisfaction due to poor tooth alignment, while 110 had received orthodontic treatment. However, 134 of dissatisfied patients are eager to undergo any procedure to whiten their teeth, as tooth color is claimed to be a major factor in dental esthetics.
