ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the refusal of country musician Rodney Atkins to change his name. According to Atkins, his record label wanted his name to be changed because it is just too close to some folks who everyone already knows such as Chet Atkins and Trace Adkins. The reason for his refusal is cited. He also narrated his experience with an adoption facility called Holston Home, in Greeneville, Tennessee.
