ABSTRACT
This article reports on the new management team of the magazine, George, founded by the late John F. Kennedy Jr. Hachette Filipacchi Magazines president and CEO Jack Kliger took the first step toward the re-launch of the magazine in December 1999 by hiring Frank Lalli as editor in chief and Dan Lagani of Mademoiselle as publisher. George is now fully owned by the publishing house. Hachette bought the 50 percent share of Kennedy from his estate at the end of October 1999. Kliger said he views the role of George as being to cover public figures who impact public issues in some way, whether they are celebrities, rap stars, politicians or average citizens.
