ABSTRACT
This article reports that advertisements from cosmetic firm Revlon will again be placed in Hearst Magazine publications in 1999 after a five-year absence. Both Redbook and Cosmopolitan will carry Revlon advertisements in their January 2000 issues. Advertisements for Almay products will appear in the February issue of Marie Claire. It is anticipated that other Hearst women's books will carry Revlon advertisements in late 2000. The return of Revlon is a coup for Hearst Magazines president Cathleen Black, who took on the role in December 1995. Her savvy dealings with advertisers were a large part of the reason she was hired.
