ABSTRACT
The article reports on the difficulty faced by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in deciding who is more qualified to take the position on the Senate Finance Committee in the U.S. The position was vacant due to the death of Senator Craig Thomas. Grand Old Party (GOP) Senators John Ensign and Mike Enzi both want the position. While Enzi has the edge on seniority, Ensign stressed that he is more qualified because of his willingness to chair the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).
