ABSTRACT
This article presents information related to the advent of Citibank Corp. in hedge fund, mutual fund and private equity fund business. It is informed that with its purchasing of BISYS Fund Services Ltd. and BISYS Alternative Investment Services in a $1.45 billion deal in May 2007, the bank has boosted its administration and distribution services capabilities. It is reported that it helped Citibank create a powerhouse in the investment services industry with an expanded presence in North America.
