ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a survey of administrative professionals and human resources (HR) managers which shows that the soft skills of administrative staff are often valued more than their technical skills. Sixty-seven percent of the managers said they would hire an applicant with strong soft skills whose technical abilities were lacking. Administrative professionals should look at how well they work with others aside from building technical expertise to advance their careers.
