ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decline concerning the net earnings of Russel Metals Inc. in the first-quarter of 2007 in the U.S. The company has recorded first-quarter income of $28.7 million compared to $37.3 million in the same period in 2006. Russel's revenue for amounted to $684 million with a 7.7 percent decrease. In addition, the financial performance of the company's steel business including service center and distribution of energy tubular products were also discussed.
