People Management;6/14/2007, Vol. 13 Issue 12, p13
The article reports on the plan of fashion retailer TK Maxx to overhaul its staff training by offering electronic learning packages to create greater flexibility and line manager engagement. According to Collette McFarlane, learning and development manager, the training platform, which is based primarily on workshop, does not always provide sufficient flexibility to cater to differences in learning style and pace. McFarlane also hopes that the e-learning option will create a culture of learning.
