ABSTRACT
The article describes the extensive campaign launched by Home Box Office (HBO) and Golden Boy Promotions to market the Oscar De La Hoya-Floyd Mayweather junior middleweight championship fight on May 5, 2007. The fight is expected to become one of the biggest attraction in pay-per-view (PPV) history. To market the bout, HBO launched the PPV series "De La Hoya-Mayweather 24/7" and created a fight-specific Web site. Fight sponsors also display posters, issue phone cards, or launch sweepstakes.
