ABSTRACT
The article reports that John Murtha, a Democrat representative from Pennsylvania, was said to have a memory lapse during an appearance in the television program "Hardball With Chris Matthews." It is stated that Murtha told Matthews, the program's host, that David Petraeus, the general of the U.S. Army, hadn't talked to lawmakers when he came to Washington, when in fact the general talked to two gathering of lawmakers before he went before the media.
