ABSTRACT
The article reports on the significance of palm oil price increase to the profits of Malaysian company IOI Corp. It was noted that the company will supply palm oil to European countries and it will be converted into biodiesel for cars and buses. So palm oil prices are soaring, and so are profits of palm oil producers. IOI has gotten a license to build a biodiesel plant in Johor that would produce 200,000 tons a year. It says it may also invest in a second palm oil refinery in the Netherlands.
