ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of Chinese property developer Ni Zhaoxing to expand his Zhing Rong Group into an international energy business. It was noted that Canada Capital Energy, Ni's operation, has hired Michael Monea, previously head of Canada's Petroleum Technology Research Centre, and has bought production leases and exploration licenses covering 32,000 acres for $ 8 million. Ni says he chose to make his first investment in Canada because it is rich in resources.
