Presents an update on the claim of Gene Snider, president of Internet service provider Central Valley Telephone and Telegraph, that MediaOne Group Inc. rescinded his advertising order. Snider's observation that such monopoly behavior should force open cable's high-speed-data platform; MediaOne Group's contention that the incident was a case of misunderstanding based on a rookie advertising salesman.
