ABSTRACT
The article reports on First Choice Airways company's campaign aimed at offsetting carbon emissions created by its airline in Great Britain. The company, which already offsets 26 percent of emissions after purchasing 5,000 acres of rainforest due to be destroyed, is encouraging its customers to sponsor additional acres for �70 in order to fully offset emissions by 2012. Managing director Dermot Blastland said that the airline produces 1.3 million tons of carbon annually.
