ABSTRACT
The authors comment on the study that compares the non-invasive test of secretin-stimulated magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (ss-MRCP) with the standard sphincter of Oddi manometry (SOM) in patients with suspected billiary or pancreatic types II and III sphincter of Oddi dysfunction (SOD). The authors remark that the study lacks the statistical advantage to justify abandoning SOM in favor of ss-MRCP as first line evaluation for SOD.
