This article offers a look at the Heiligendamm, a German resort on the Baltic where the June 6, 2007 summit meeting of the Group of Eight countries was held. The resort has an interesting history, with Adolf Hitler and fascist Italian dictator Benito Mussolini as among those who stayed in the resort. The resort as of June 2007, is under the management of Fundus Group, which has already spent $280 million to renovate and make the property attractive to tourists.
