ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increase in sales of high definition (HD) digital video disc (DVD) players. According to the HD DVD Promotional Group, sales of HD DVD players reached 60% market penetration of all high-definition set-top players sold. It is reported that the increase is partly due to Toshiba Corporation's in-store $100 rebate on the $399 HD-A2 player.
