ABSTRACT
The article focuses on incidents experienced by two editors of the journal at different convenience stores in the U.S. One of the editors went to a local gas station and listened to promotional offers being broadcast from the pump in an attempt to get him to go inside and purchase something else. Another editor visited a store to have a jug of iced tea. She got impressed with the wide variety of fresh foods but the cashier did not bother about her as she was immersed in sending a text message.
