ABSTRACT
The article focuses on technical specifications set forth by China's Ministry of Information and Industry for foreign third-generation (3G) wireless standards, including U.S.-backed code division multiple access (CDMA) 2000 and Europe's W-CDMA. Report says that W-CDMA and CDMA will make a huge contribution to the wireless market. The growth of mobile subscriptions in China is also reported.
