ABSTRACT
The article reports on the Popemobile of Pope Benedict XVI when he visited Sao Paulo, Brazil. According to the author, the Popemobile is armored with polycarbonate (PC). According to BrasilPlast trade fair organizer Alcantara Machado, the PC-armored Popemobile can withstand grenades, and rifle and machinegun tire. The Popemobile was fitted with bullet-proof glass following the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II in 1981.
