ABSTRACT
The article reports on the joint venture between SESVanderHave Seeds and Arcadia Biosciences. SESVanderHave Seeds, a sugar beet seed company, will receive an exclusive global license to develop sugar beets using the nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) technology of Arcadia, which reduces the use of nitrogen fertilizers when growing nitrogen-intensive sugar beet crops. The companies will develop and commercialize sugar beet varieties with improved efficiency of nitrogen uptake.
