The article presents an update on the prices of styrene and naphtha. Spot prices are spiralling up, disgruntled buyers have concerns over the high free carrier (FCA) contract and the benzene/styrene spread has widened. Spot continued its uptrend to $1,500-1,530/ tonne FOB (free on board). Naphtha numbers in Europe and Asia were on the up, trading at highs of $712/tonne CIF (cost, insurance and freight).
