ABSTRACT
The article presents the views of chemical industry officials on the congressional approval of legislation that would broaden U.S. chemical plant site anti-terrorism security. Scott Jensen of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) said action to allow broad, independent regulation of chemical site security by individual states poses a challenge to the chemical industry. Maurice McBride of the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA) said the action poses a risk.
