ABSTRACT
The article reports the financial performance of Belgian chemical company Solvay in the first quarter of 2007. The company reported an 11% year-on-year rise in recurring earnings before interest and tax (REBIT) to €325 million. The company's sales also increased by 1% to €2.37 billion. The company stated that it expects to achieve excellent operating results in 2007.
