ABSTRACT
The article focuses the 3D drilling implementation with lasers application that enhances turbine efficiency production of MTU Aero Engines in Munich, Germany. The turbines were fitted with blades since 3D has greater cooling efficiency. Moreover, there were six Lasertec 80 Powerdrill units with five-axis machines and torque motors for laser erosion. MTU has provided refined engineering not only for customer's economic profits but also for production cost.
