ABSTRACT
The article reports that Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid implores to U.S. President George W. Bush to intervene personally in his chamber's bi-partisan immigration talks, as time grew shorter for a deal that would avert a looming Grand Old Party (GOP) filibuster. Reid told reporters that Bush's personal involvement in the process could make the difference.
