ABSTRACT
The article reports on the selection of Volvo Trucks North America and North Carolina State University as supplier and fleet partners for their mobile idle reduction technology (MIRT) field operation test. The grant was provided by the SmartWay Transport program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The purpose of MIRT test is to enable truck buyers to purchase preparatory kits to allow aftermarket installation.
