Indofood Agri Resources, the agriculture unit of the world's top noodle maker PT Indofood Sukses Makmur, said it would buy Indonesia's PT London Sumatra for $1 billion. The acquisition will increase Indofood Agri's oil palm plantations by 84% to 138,081 hectares and more than double its crude palm oil production to 640,000 tonnes per year.
