ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the efforts undertaken by the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society to address the lack of access of MS patients in the U.S. to prescription drugs. The Society's MS activist held a movement in Washington, D.C. to ask the legislators to support the Access to Life-Saving Medicine Act. Several chapters have been advocating to keep MS disease-modifiers to private health insurance formularies. The Society funded a cost-effectiveness study on MS drugs.
