An excerpt from the testimony of TiVo chief executive officer Tom Rogers delivered at U.S. House Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet on May 10, 2007 is presented. Rogers believe that the opportunity to connect broadband directly to the television must be allowed to flourish and protected against incumbent interests that are threatened by innovation and competition.
