ABSTRACT
The article discusses the author's experience of visiting a truck driver with cancer, who is under the New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program. It was noted that the patient manages to drive for several kilometers despite his condition and bad weather. The author, together with his colleagues, urges the driver to use a stronger painkiller instead of chemotherapy. They accompanied him in his last weeks and days until his death at the community hospital.
