ABSTRACT
The article reports that Retired Air Force Major General Rick Goddard will run against Democratic Representative Jim Marshall for the Republican nomination to represent the state of Georgia in the U.S. senate. The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) recruited Goddard to compete against Marshall in the state of Georgia's redistricted 8th district. The NRCC hopes for victory as the redistricting has made the district more Republican.
