ABSTRACT
The article focuses on André Jutras' "Three Folk Miniatures." Jutras, who plays oboe and saxophone, has been a music officer at the Canada Council of Arts since 2001. His "Three Folk Miniatures," is composed of three French-Canadian folk songs entitled "V'là l'bon vent," Isabeau s'y promène," and "Les Raftsmen." The piece was first performed by L'Harmonie Saguenay de Jonquière on April 6, 1986.
