ABSTRACT
The article reports on the statement of Pope Benedict XVI which mandating to excommunicate politicians promoting legalization of abortion in the U.S. The House of Democrats criticized the remarks of the Pope to excommunicate politicians in favor of abortion for they believe that it help to preserve life and avoid unwanted pregnancy. However, Democratic lawmakers stipulated that they agree with the Roman Catholic Church position in the undesirability of abortion.
