ABSTRACT
The article reports that data from 2007 National leisure Travel Monitor reveal that Americans views vacations as an important part of contemporary life in the U.S. Based on the research, the incidence of leisure travel continues to be dominant by adults traveling as couples, followed by adults touring with children, and adults journeying alone. One of out 10 American leisure travelers took a gambling vacation while only 2% chose a golf vacation. In addition, majority of leisure travelers who are airline and hotel users are going exclusively to the Internet when planning a future vacation.
