ABSTRACT
The article reports on the concerns expressed by groups in the financial services industry concerning the changes in the Federal Budget in Australia. The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) has expressed the effect of offering one-off-contribution to savings. Meanwhile, Alex Denham, head of technical services at Challenger Financial Services Group Ltd. questioned the reduction in personal tax rates that may result to a decline in superannuation funds.
