ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the improved financial performance of metal and steel service centers for the three-month ended March 31, 2007 in the U.S., including A. M. Castle & Co., Olympic Steel Inc., and Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. Consolidated net sales of A. M. Castle hit a record $375.4 million, while Olympic Steel reported a total of $259.4 million net sales, an increase of 8.6%. Meanwhile, Reliance reported a record sales and income to put their 3-month stretch behind it.
