ABSTRACT
The article discusses the increasing popularity of single-source networks in the U.S. A single-source network is one where furniture and/or bedding is the total business or single-largest category and all or the majority of product is from one manufacturer. Single-source networks garnered 7% of the furniture and bedding sales at retail in 2006. Some of the top stores in the single-source networks are Ashley Furniture HomeStores, Ethan Allen and La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries.
