ABSTRACT
The article explores on the political consequences of global economy, hegemony, and universalizing ideologies on the future viability of the state. The author concludes that the logical extension of the Washington Consensus of private economic transactional neo-liberal globalization examines its consequences for the nation-state's political realm. The author suggests that such goals may re-emerge or that anti-universalizing movements like tribalism may lead to the destruction of the state.
