ABSTRACT
The article relates the author's experience at the Florida Association for Media in Education (FAME) conference in November 2007 in Florida. He was seated at the conference breakfast with the whole group of Marion County library media specialist. He felt insulted when a speaker said that in spite of librarians, boys were reading and finding reading material. The incident prompted him to do a survey and talked to small group of girls reading their interest in reading.
