ABSTRACT
The article presents a study on the relative efficacy and tolerability of vildagliptin and rosiglitazone in patients with type 2 diabetes. Results revealed that vildagliptin lessens the fasting plasma lipid levels more than rosiglitazone. It is also stated that vildagliptn does not reduce the fasting plasma glucose level as much as rosiglitazone. It is concluded that vildagliptin is noninferior to rosiglitazone for glycemic control.
