TI to invest $1B in new Philippines assembly, test plant

The article deals with the plan of Texas Instruments (TI) to expand its assembly and test operations in Manila, Philippines. The site which is 77,000 square meters in size aims to be the most environmentally efficient site in the world. According to Kevin Ritchie, senior vice president (VP) of the technology and manufacturing group of TI, this is an important site for TI because it will add capacity to support its growing business and serve the customers.
