ABSTRACT
The article highlights some of the current exhibitions in the Smithsonian Institution's museums in Washington, D.C. The Natural History Museum's new Korea Gallery exhibits such anthropological artifacts as porcelain water droppers used by Korean calligraphers to moisten blocks of solid ink. The American Indian Museum will exhibit 55 Native dresses, including a Crow elk-tooth dress, through January 2, 2008. The Portrait Gallery will show modern works, including several by California's Brett Cook, through January 6, 2008.
