ABSTRACT
The article informs that Melvon Moore, a high school student from Brooklyn, New York city, was shot in his back on September 19, 2006 following an after-school scuffle. Moore ran towards the police school patrol after a brawl with some young men to plead with the officers to help him. He claims that police officers ignored his plea, and while he ran home in fear of his life, he was shot in his back. Eyewitnesses stated police officers were in their patrol car ignoring the after-school fight.
