ABSTRACT
The article highlights the band Booker T. & the MG's. In 1962, the band recorded their first hit, the instrumental "Green Onions." Along the way, the band managed to follow up on the success of "Green Onions" with other major hits, including "Hip Hug-Her," "Soul Limbo," and "Time Is Right." "Time Is Right" found its way onto the soundtrack of another film released in 1968, "Up Tight!" and mad it all the way to Number 6 on the pop charts in the spring of 1969.
