ABSTRACT
The article discusses the "Soundstage" television show's adoption of digital technology in the U.S. The PBS show is broadcast in high-definition with full 5.1 sound. To move to digital technology, director/producer Joe Thomas built a studio/performance space at WTTW. Thomas together with T.C. Furlong outfitted the room with a Meyer public address system that did not overpower the audience.
