ABSTRACT
The article reports on the issuance of a request for proposals (RFP) by Essex Regional Retirement for a manager to oversee an approximately $50 million mandate in the core or core-plus fixed-income. According to the RFP, the proposed product must have outperformed the Lehman Aggregate Bond Index over the three- and five-year trailing period until 2007. Its current roster of bond managers includes Loomis Sayles & Co. and MFS Investment Management.
