ABSTRACT
The article reports that Intel Corp. and Micron Technology Inc. are sampling 50-nanometer multi-level cell (MLC) Not And (NAND) flash memory manufactured by their NAND flash memory joint venture, IM Flash Technologies. The 50-nm MLC technology, sampling at a 16-Gbit die density, follows the July 2006 announced 50-nm single-level cell (SLC) products that the companies are shipping in may 2007 at a 4-Gbit die density.
