ABSTRACT
The article addresses the issue of media businessman Rupert Murdoch's attempt to buyout the "Wall Street Journal" media empire. According to the author, Murdoch is interested in purchasing the media company because it is rich, conservative and could be a companion piece to his long-planned Fox Business Channel. The author discusses the possible reasons why Murdoch's buyout offers are being resisted by the mass media giant.
